| This twin tower office complex, which consists of Akbank tower with 39 floors (h=158 m), Sabanci Tower with 34 floors (h=140 m) and two annex buildings that house a conference hall with 700 seats and a bank branch, is one of the most modern office buildings of Turkey. Designed by KORAY's architectural design group headed by architects Haluk Tümay & Ayhan Böke, this 108,000sqm turnkey project is also the first smart building of Turkey. Building security, access control, heating, cooling, ventilation, fire alarm, fire fighting, power supply, lighting control, communications and lift operations in the complex are monitored and regulated by centrally controlled computers systems while heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems use VAV technology and recycling techniques to minimize energy consumption. Desks, cupboards, cabinets and fixed wooden furniture such as wood panels, wood veneers and wooden decorative partitioning elements, were all manufactured in the woodwork manufacturing plant of KORAY. |
