The King Hussein Institute of Biotechnology and Cancer will be constructed on a mountaintop about halfway between the Dead Sea and the city of Amman, Jordan - near the mountain where Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments from God.
The 120,000m² facility, which includes 358 beds and working space for 3,500 employees consists of a main building with seven adjacent blocks containing a research center, radiotherapy and chemotherapy clinics, 10 operation rooms, 30 intensive care units, a convention center for 400 people and a 104 bed hotel as well as a 6,500m² staff residence and a utilities building. Also planned are VIP villas and multistory carparks for the facility. |
